• I am EXTREMELY sorry about this EXTREMELY basic questions, but everything I find online seems to point out to slightly different questions/solutions so I’m finding myself a bit stuck (probably due to not knowing the basic terms).

So basically I have downloaded www.remarpro.com and bought a Plus Bluehost package, which is supposed to allow for multiple websites on one hosting. However, when I google how to set this up, I only find answers for creating a network of subdomains (as in: https://www.example1.website.com, https://www.example2.website.com, etc).

What I want to create are two completely independent websites with different functions and different domains, that are not linked in any way. They are not very complex sites – one is a simple portfoloio and the other is a blog – but I want them to be completely independent. Can I do this? Or do I need to buy two different hostings? How do I set this up in WordPress? Can someone point out to a simple tutorial on this?

Sorry again for the basic question, just feeling a bit stuck

  • Sounds like you don’t want multisite but you do want a couple of discrete websites…

Most hosts allow that with certain packages… Look for being able to ‘Add On’ a domain name in your hosting control panel.

And your web host would be the authority on how to implement that. It’s not difficult.

Thank you! This actually makes a lot of sense – I think I was just getting stuck on the “multisite” bit. I’ll look for discrete websites and see if I find something useful. Thank you for the fast reply

    Thank you! For notify
