I managed to edit/upload the wp-config and htaccess files. Yay!
    1. I have the network there, the installer tells me so.
    2. Problem: I don’t have the Multisite Admin interface to do anything. It looks, and is, the original WP dashboard.
    3. I have no content added, no plug-ins activated, etc, it is only the unedited WP install with a theme: thb.t15.org
    4. I am suspicious of the htaccess file change…I used the code for 3.5.1. But I don’t know exactly what to replace on the original htaccess.

I realize this is posted already somewhere – but the entire process has been a lot of research for doing something simple. I am burning out.

    Thanks.
I went to thb.t15.org/wp-admin/network – I don’t have the “permissions”. So it exists! I am almost there.

Are you logged in as the super admin?

No, I cannot be, because I don’t know about that. The super admin.
When I go to the page as you listed – there is no login spaces for username/password. There is just the no permission message.

The server may not be able to handle MultiSite. The admin told me to try and see if it works. Maybe that matters?

    Hey,
After some more research I re-edited the wp-config file. I repeated the same thing that I had done already, a few times – this last time worked!!

Thank you so much for your time and assistance.

    I need to close this.
