Multisite duplication issues

    I built a small WP multisite on a temp domain with 4 sites:

    dev.domainname.com
    dev.domainname.com/site1
    dev.domainname.com/site2
    dev.domainname.com/site 3

    Now that the site is ready to go live I simply want to take out the dev. so the site resolves at the actual domain – https://www.domainname.com Both are hosted on the same host at Media Temple. When I did this I didn’t realize it would be difficult to change it over but Ive gotten no help from Media Temple.

    So I started looking for answers, I read the codex on changing multisite domain names and it seemed over my head so I searched out a plugin and found yours.

    Today I followed the instructions on a video on duplicating a WordPress website.

    In this video Paal said it would make a complete copy of the entire multisite even though the plugin only appears on a sub site dashboard. So I followed each step and loaded the installation on a domain that I own.

    Everything seemed to go great except the only site that copied over completely is the site I happened to be on when I created the package. It copied over perfectly. The other sites have the pages with text and widget functions but it seems that the theme did not copy over on those sites.

    Again I asked Paal and he said I should post this on the forum. I am looking for any help to relive this. Thanks in advance!

  • Hey Akseo,

    For MU sites I would suggest using this plugin its geared more heavily to MU sites. The Duplicator has minimal support for MU, but its very limited.
