• Hello,

On a multisite installation I have a custom post type and a custom role with all custom post type and upload_files permissions enabled.

My issue is that the user doesn’t have access to attachment actions like “Edit Image” or “Delete Permanently”.

    Thank you!

    Hi,

if image is uploaded by other user or attached to the post created by other user, then ‘edit_others_posts’ may be needed.

I forgot to mention that all the default post permissions are disabled (I don’t need the default posts) so enabling the ‘edit_others_posts’ it didn’t work in my case.

Pro version allows to grant to user ‘edit_posts’ capabilities but block ‘Posts’ menu for his role with Admin menu access add-on.

Another possible way/workaround to resolve a problem – force all custom post type to use own capabilities (Pro feature also). Media library items will be protected by ‘edit_attachments’, ‘edit_others_attachments’, etc. capabilities set, so it could be possible to not grant to a role ‘edit_posts’ capabilities at all.
