• Hello
    I’ve put this code:

    define(‘WP_ALLOW_MULTISITE’, true);

    into my wp-config file via dreamweaver, saved it, then went back to my wordpress dashboard, refreshed the browser, and the network option didn’t show up in the tools area

    this is a local host

    any ideas?

    Use a PLAIN text editor, like TextWrangler (mac) or Notepad++ (Windows).

    no luck, I had saved wp-config via dreamweaver earlier with the new code. Then I used Notepad++, opened up wp-config, replaced/duplicated the code, resaved it, went back to the dashboard and still no network option

    Where’d you put the line?

    Is it ABOVE ‘stop editing here’? Is it on it’s own line, without any curly quotes?

    I figured out how to get the multisite working but now I’m stuck on how to add a site.

    I’m in network admin, click add a site, it’s telling me to fill in the box – I’m putting in “mysite.com”(see below) and it’s saying missing or invalid site address

    Site Address localhost/wordpress/

    You don’t put in mysite.com, you put in mysite. Or mysitecom.

    Only the characters a-z and 0-9 work.
