Multisite and Languages

We don’t currently have an Italian localization, but if we did, then strings like “Ticket Summary”, etc would automatically appear in Italian if you had “Italian” selected as the site’s language on the General Settings page.

If you’d like to help create a localization for Italian, you can use the Codestyling Localization plugin or a desktop application like Poedit. To learn more, check out A Guide for WordPress Plugins Translators.

Cool. I can see people building localisation into the plugin in future. Unfortunately on my budget i’m gonna have to cut corners. Think I’m going to duplicate your plugin and edit the raw source code in camptix.php. I know this is not in any way proper, but as our multisite network is entirely in english, this seems like the easiest way to get things working for us. If I do end up working on Italian localisation I will let you know on the forum here.

So if anyone wants to know, I made a copy of the camptix plugin and called it “camptixit”. i edited that plugin’s camptix.php file and replaced english statements with italian statements. Obviously if the plugin gets updated I will have to go through this allover again, so not really recommended. I was desperate for a short term solution and I have a particular multi-lingual multisite setup… and this works for me. Still absolutely love this plugin!
