Multisite and email subscribers

  • Is it possible to run a multisite and keep my e-mail subscribers separate? I want to have two blogs but when I post a new blog from either site I only want subscribers to those sites to get an e-mail notification of a new post. If someone could let me know if Multisite is able to work that way, I’d appreciate it.

    I’d prefer not to have to do double the backups etc., if possible, which is why I’m hoping a multisite setup will work. If not, would I need to have two different instances or WordPress running on my hosting environment to keep email subscriber lists separate?
