• Hi

We have magento 1.9 set up with three domains in a multisite config. The users do not get replicated and neither does the cart. Users are unaware we run 3 sites. Products can easily be added to the backend and then its a simple matter of checking a checkbox in the products management page to get them to appear in each or chosen sites.

Also we can customise the PDF invoices to reflect the branding of each site and also the email confirmations on orders, contact enquiries, etc, etc

Are these functionalities available in multi-site word-press?

I have read that only sub-domains or folder structures:
    https://www.site1/watches
    https://www.site1/rings

    And nothing regarding domains

I have also read that products cannot be shared across sites and only replicated. Which seems odd as it just makes ones site huge in terms of all those images and thumbnails etc

I am assuming also in this case that emails cannot be customised or pdf invoices

Any advice would be great as I am now thinking that moving from Magento to WP/WooCommerce wasnt a good idea

    Thanks

    Hey @albertramsbottom,

    Don’t give up yet!

I have also read that products cannot be shared across sites and only replicated. Which seems odd as it just makes ones site huge in terms of all those images and thumbnails etc

I did a quick Google and this came up which might be of use to you for this bit https://woomultistore.com/

    And nothing regarding domains

This is called domain mapping and is perfectly possible. Here’s a list of plugins on www.remarpro.com which might do it
