    Hi,

This is such a fantastic plugin, well done! I am relieved to know that I can transfer my sites from a development platform to a live install so easily; thank you.

My question is in regard to multisites; I exported from the admin dashboard but when I imported it to a new install, only the main site of my multisite setup transferred. Do I have to set up multisite before I import? I’m confused and I can’t find any clear instructions.

Thank you in advance and thank you again for such an elegant and helpful tool!

    Hi

    Thanks for the good words!

You have to manually enable network mode on your new WordPress site before running the import.
Once you completed that step you can import the data archive in the Network Admin -> Site Migration -> Import.

Thank you for such a quick reply; it’s appreciated.

After enabling multisite and then installing the plugin, I’m receiving an “Error establishing a database connection” when I import the other multisite. I’m probably doing something wrong, perhaps the order in which I’m enabling and installing or my export settings?

    Thanks again,
    Christian
