• Hi WP Community,

I got two separate domain names for which I am starting to use WordPress. WP is installed into those domains directory. When I log on into one of these two domains, it displayes the name of the third domain I have but which has nothing to do with WP – for example: my 1st new domain AAAA and my second new domain BBBB, they both display on the top of the page the name of my 3rd domain CCCC?? How can I get rid of this (how come it shows up there in the fist place?!)?

    Help out please : )

    Katrin

Are you mapping these domains via MultiSite and a domain mapper?

    Hi : )

I even don′t understand what you mean by saying “…mapping domains via MultiSite…” :))

That′s what I got: recently bought two new domains, redirected to my Hosting company, and in its directories respectively installed WP – I would like to learn to build those two new domains using WP. After few errors and mishaps (lasted quite a few days), I “seem” to have sored this (?). Now when I open those new domains using WP I get displayed the name of my third domain which have nothing to do with the new ones – I wonder if you can follow the maze of my thoughts ; ) I wouldlike to get rid of the that don′t belong – how can I do it, Ipstenu?

Keeping in mind that I am “green” in the field of programs and managing Internet related systems – saying that, I am willing and excited to learn new stuff ; ))

Thank you in advance : )

MultiSite is the fine art of running multiple WordPress sites from one network install.

If you’re not already running (or trying to run) MultiSite, this is the wrong subforum for you.

If you do want to run Multisite, you can map domains to their own sites on your network.
