Multiple versions on local drive?

    I currently use an older WP version on my hard drive via xampplite, and occasionally have had a few problems upgrading to current versions.

    How might I install multiple versions under xampplite?

    I am directing the question here, as users here seem more familiar with xampp that most users in the Apache Forum are with WordPress.

  • It’s true I have xampp and not the “lite” version – but I have several local WP installations, all different versions.
    I just put the files in different folders under htdocs:
    wp207
    wp2011
    wp233
    wp25
    wp251
    etc.
    Each one has either a different DB or different prefix if in the same DB with another one.
    So, what is the question?
