    Hello,

    Our users have alerted us to an issue that has arisen over the past few days. After testing we have found that when a user clicks to resend the verification email, 2 or 3 links are instantly being emailed, the 1st link does not work when clicked and results in an error, the 2nd or 3rd link does work.

    It was working fine without this issue for a significant period of time so I’m not sure what has caused this to arise.

    I’ve tried enabling “Delay the activation email” to no avail and not sure what else to do at this point other than switch plugin.

    I have tested on a staging site with all plugins other than Woocommerce, FluentSMTP and this one disabled, still duplicate verification emails are being sent.

    Is it possibly a recent woocommerce of wordpress update has caused a bug to arise? Thinking back this may have arisen around the time of the latest woocommerce update around a week ago but that may just be a coincidence.

    Some more information for you.

    After trawling through email logs and more testing, this duplicate email issue ONLY happens when a user manually clicks to resend the verification email (%resend_verification_url%) on the messages tab.

    A single verification email is sent after user registration so that appears to be workingly correctly.

    Unfortunately the latest update attempt (Dev – Messages – Create “Clear previous messages” option trying to avoid duplicated messages.) to resolve this made no difference to the duplicate emails with the option enabled.

    There are still 3 emails being sent out when the resend link is clicked.

    No response from developer which is a shame as this worked great for a long time.

    Moved to a different plugin.
