The plugin works great for the default admin, but it doesn’t work for any other users.

I get “Google Authenticator Settings” when editing any user other than the default admin.

Under “Google Authenticator Settings” I get two check boxes:
    “Hide settings from user”
    “Active”

Unlike the default admin, there is no QR code or codes or anything for other users. Just the two check boxes. Clicking “active” leaves the user unable to login (as there is no way to get them a google code?) while unchecking “active” will allow them to login–without any google auth.

  • Hi
That is the way it’s supposed to work, the user has to setup things himself, you should not know other users passwords/secrets.
But you as an admin can help a users in case he locks himself out. ie disable the plugin for him/her

Right, but how to see the unique code (for each user) to be able to configure the google authenticator on your IPHONE?

    Would be as follows?
    – Creates a new User
    – Informs the password for the same
    – Login with this username and password, without the google authenticator active,
    – and there proceed as activation in the same way it was done as the administrator,
registering a new google authenticator and registering the new code, and enabling the option Active, for this user?

    This is correct ?

    Hi
You should not see other users secret, that’s a personal thing.

I would do something like this.
    Create users as normal.
Inform users that 2 factor authentication is available on their account and they should enable it.
