Is it possible to have 2 different types of profiles, a “free” membership that allows members to only add a photo and description to their profile and a “paid” membership that allows users to add a photo, description and other information to their profile?

For my site, the product I am selling is the profile itself, where those who purchase a paid membership will be able to have a more complete profile and those who have only a free membership can only input basic information like a photo and description.

I’m thinking maybe this would be done by controlling access to 2 different Registration forms but maybe there is more that needs to be configured to make this work.

Thank you for any guidance you are able to provide.

    Hello @russsd

Ultimate member does not have a payment system. But yes, you can have different types of profiles for different roles.

You can create 2 different profile forms, one with basic fields and the next one with more fields, and set both forms to be specific to a certain user role. You can add the shortcode for both forms on UM user page, just make sure there is no condition when both forms can be displayed at the same time.

Please check the screenshot to know how you can make the profile form role specific.
