• Hi, I know it’s a known issue but I can’t find the right answer. On another post I understood that codestyling-localization will generate different .mo files in case of multiple text domains FOR A PLUGIN.

When translating a theme with multiple text domain, only one .mo is generated. Even if I save the .mo from a different text domain. I think it replace the original fr_FR.mo. Always.

Do i have to rename the different .mo one by one or something like that in order to get the front + backend of a wp theme translated ?
(and most of the time it’s 4 or 5 different text domains per theme) I just realised that wp themes are essentially copy and past.

Thank you for support if you can.

  • Hi Thibaud,

You ever got this fixed? I’m facing the same problem here. Multiple textdomain in one theme. And when creating .mo file, it creates the .mo file of the selected text domain. So translation from other text domains are not included or overwritten.

    How to get this right?
