Multiple tags or Action set?

    Hi,

    Great plugin! I got it set-up and working in not time at all.

    I’m pretty new to InfusionsSoft and I’m doing an integration for one of my clients.

    They have segmented lists with tags, one being the language as they operate in a multilingual country.

    I got a standard new tag working fine, but my client has multiple tags for a single contact.

    Is there a way I can use multiple tags with this plugin? and if yes is that the correct way? Should I be using something called Action Sets for this? Sorry for my noob questions!

    Hi danimalweb,

    Currently, this add-on only supports a single tag. I had debated adding support for multiple tags, but didn’t know that anyone would need it. Looks like I was wrong!

    I’m not exactly sure I understand your client’s use case, but I can release an update later this week that would provide support for multiple tags.

    Wow, support for multiple tags would be super!

    I’ll happily provide you a more detailed use case if you want? But support for multiple tags will I’m sure be useful to others who use this plugin.

    I see that this is on GitHub, would you like me to raise an issue there?

    Hi Daniel,

    That GitHub repo is actually just an unofficial mirror of the WordPress SVN. The actual plugin repo isn’t on GitHub. I appreciate the consideration though.

    I’ve added an issue to my private repo. I’ll let you know when I update things.

    Hi danimalweb,

    Indeed, I am planning an update. Unfortunately, due to actual work, I haven’t had the time to finish things up. The next update will see support for multiple tags, as a comma-delimited list.

    After this, the next update will see support for most of the contact fields, as defined in the API Contact Table Docs. There have been a couple people now requesting the ability to add additional fields; so I decided to just go all out.

    Many thanks for the update. I’m really looking forward to it.

    Would you be interested in open sourcing this plugin? Other developers such as myself would be interested in the continued development, with a place where we can issue pull requests or discuss different approaches.
