• Is it possible to have multiple sticky elements with this plugin?
i.e. .sticky pushed up by element half way down page, then a new div with sticky class is stuck further down.

  • Unfortunately, the current version only allows one sticky element, but this functionality will be implemented in the next major version. No expected release date, though…

Mark, could you venture a guess about when that next release date might be? I’m amongst the many here who love your plugin, but would really, really, love to be able to use it with multiple elements on the same site. I’d hate to switch to a different plugin to be able to do that. As I mentioned in my own comment thread last week, I’d be willing to pay for a premium version that included that capability – in case that’s an additional incentive to your creating multi-element functionality ??

(Sorry for my butting in on Tom’s thread, but it’s a question I suspect many of us have.)

    Thanks,
    Steve

It’s hard to say Steve. I know there’s a demand for it for sure (and I am toying with the idea of making it a premium add-on or something, but that’s beside the point), the main problem is that it feels like it would be a major, major addition that I wouldn’t be able to work on in just a few hours. So it’s a matter of finding a full day or 2 to focus on it.

But you’re right, I should get off my ass and just get started with it. ??

How about I make a start with it this weekend and then see if I can get a better idea of the work that’s needed? I’ll keep you posted!

    Mark,

That would be fabulous! If you want to check out the amazing page I created using your plugin, it’s here (the sticky element of course is in the left-most column). That took me a few days of work too ?? I’d love to be able to duplicate that type of thing throughout this new medical site – it would make it really awesome. I’d be happy to beta test it for you.

    Cheers,
    Steve

Just following, so I can get a notification if you should happen to post an update to allow multiple sticky elements.

    Thanks

    Eagerly waiting for this feature!

Please add also specific setting for each one of them (all basic ones + z-index, at least)

Thank you in advance, keep up the great job!

I’ve made a small start with it but it’s going to be quite a journey.

@folettiwebdesigner Yes, once there is the option of having more than one sticky element, there will be a screen for general/shared options, plus options that are for each individual element.

    Following the progress on this…
