Multiple sites with different domain names

My plan is to install WP3 on a “root” blog – call it https://www.myblog.com – and I want to install multiple blogs with shared themes and plugins. Each new blog has its own domain name – https://www.myblog2.com, https://www.herblog.com, https://www.widget.com.
What should the set-up be with WP to allow me to point domain names to blogs (yes, I have access to do that)?
