After installation of the plugin and going through the entire setup and validation process, I got a notice from Google Search Console that every single AMP page that it scanned had errors. I need help resolving them. The errors are as follows:

The mandatory attribute ‘amp-custom’ is missing in tag ‘style amp-custom’.

    Custom JavaScript is not allowed.

The attribute ‘src’ in tag ‘img’ is set to the invalid value ‘data:image/svg+xml,%3Csvg%20xmlns=’https://www.w3.org/2000/svg’%20viewBox=’0%200%201%201’%3E%3C/svg%3E’.

The attribute ‘class’ in tag ‘img’ is set to the invalid value ‘i-amphtml-intrinsic-sizer lazy’.

The attribute ‘class’ in tag ‘img’ is set to the invalid value ‘i-amphtml-fill-content i-amphtml-replaced-content lazy’.

The only plugin I have installed that could possibly be causing these issues as far as I can tell is W3 Total Cache. But that is not coming up as an issue on the site scan. I tried suppressing it and doing a live test on Google console, and it didn’t resolve the issue.

    Hello @saputo

Thank you for reaching out to us, You also need to activate the AMP extension provided by the w3 total cache plugin.

    1) Login as Admin.
    2) Go to Dashboard->Performance->Extensions
    3) Activate AMP extension.

Once you activate the Extension, clear your site cache and recheck your AMP page on AMP Test to verify that your AMP page is valid.

    We hope this is helpful!

Thank you for the quick reply.

I was encourage by the ease of implementing your idea, and my hopes were high. Alas, it does not seem to be correcting the issues.

I tried doing this and waiting quite a bit of time for the cache to update, but I continued to get the same errors in AMP test.

I then re-activated W3 Total Cache in the AMP suppression settings and tried the AMP testing again, but I am getting the same result.

Note that with each change I am emptying all caches.

In case this is relevant, I have “query string” selected as the AMP URL Type in the AMP Extension settings. The only thing odd that I noticed there is that the query string setup in the settings /my-page?amp is slightly different than the default AMP settings /?amp=1

Well hang on, I think it’s working all of a sudden. I’m trying to validate the fixes on the Search Console now.
