Multiple Roles per member

Hi I have searched and not found an answer which leads me to believe that perhaps I am missing something quite basic.

I have created several custom roles in wordpress. These appear to be fine and appear as “User Roles” in UM.

I need to be able to give each member multiple roles … ie. they are a “choir member”, a “soprano”, on the “fundraising team”, etc… So far I can give them a primary role and then a different community role, but that is only 2 roles … how do I attribute more roles per member?
