    Hello,

I read your answer to a similar question that suggested utilizing the plugin’s multisite capabilities, but that is not quite what I’m trying to accomplish.

Is it possible, in a single site (not multisite) to have multiple restaurant pages (think of a site that promotes restaurants in a city)?

In other words, would each logged-in user have their own unique plugin configuration and will the plugin generate a unique shortcode for each restaurant so that an order button for each restaurant can be put on their respective page?

  • Hello,

Yes, it is possible to have multiple restaurants in a single website.

I suggest you go to: https://www.gloriafood.com and sign up as PARTNER. This will allow you to create/manage restaurants under a single umbrella (your partner account).

Then, you log in the plugin with your partner account. Having done that, when you go over to Publishing, you will notice a restaurant selector (a dropdown). This is how you get the shortcodes for each separate restaurant. You can use them however you please.

    Hello Georgiana,

Thank you for the reply. I am afraid I did not ask my question precisely (or maybe I am not fully understanding your answer).

It is not only that I want multiple individual restaurants under one site but, and this is what I’m not sure I communicated well, I am wondering if each individual WordPress user on my site can manage her own menu.

In other words, what you describe as available to me as an administrator is ideal in regard to getting shortcodes. But I do not want to manage each restaurant’s menu. I want the users to do that themselves. Can multiple individual users do that themselves on my site?

    Hello,

    Sorry for my late reply.

They can use their own credentials to log into the ordering system directly and manage their restaurant settings and menu from there (so not via the wordpress admin). Does this work for you?

    Regards,
    Georgiana

Thank you. I understand now and, yes, that will work nicely for my purposes. I’ve created an account and look forward to getting some local restaurants onboard.
