I’m using reCAPTCHA v.2 in a security plugin on the site. Do I need to use Forminator’s Google reCAPTCHA settings for the form if I want to minimize bot intrusion? Seems rather redundent.

  • Hi @toad78,

That depends on how the current captcha that you have is working, if it includes captcha for form submission then there would be no need to “double-up” and use Forminator’s captcha ??

How, exactly, would I know “…if it includes captcha for form submission…”?

    HI @toad78

What my colleague meant was that some plugins that add captcha can do that “globally” and “inject” captcha to various forms on site. There’d be two things to check:

    1) if there’s any setting in that security plugin to enable/disable captcha for various forms, for example registration forms, other forms submssions etc

    2) and then just check the page with the Forminator form directly on front-end (preferably as visitor, not logged-in user) and see if there’s a captcha added (even “invisible” one would at least display some indication – logo – that it’s there).

If none of that is the case, then I’d say that the plugin is not adding captcha and it would make sense to enable it in Forminator.

    Best regards,
    Adam
