Multiple queries relating to plugin – urgent need your help

    Dear Pascal

    Thank you for a fantastic plugin. I am a new user and a non-technical person. I have three websites on which I plan to use this plugin, but before that, I have a few queries about this plugin. Can you pls help to resolve them?

    1. I have WP-optimise caching plugin which improves the page loading time of my website. Will this plugin work with that? Is there a workaround which I can use to retain both the plugins in my website – yours and WP Optimise caching plugin?

    2. In one of my websites, I am planning to block the US and UK. Will this affect my the Google crawlers from accessing my website from a seo point of view?

    3. Will this plugin prevent people from having a foreign VPN from logging in using a fake IP address?

    1) Caching and Geo Blocking do not match very well. So in general sense the answer is no.

    The ‘workaround’ is using a caching solution that can block at the caching level. As the iQ Block Country is only started when WordPress is actually loaded which isn’t the case with most caching plugins. So the workaround would be using for instance Cloudflare or Varnish.

    2) You can unblock Google and other services at the ‘services’ tab it won’t block the spiders no matter which countries you block.

    3) It does it best but it cannot block when people properly try to hide their IP address by using VPN’s or Proxies. Even multi million dollar companies like Netflix struggle with that.

    Thank you very much for your speedy response. I am a non-technical person, so your detailed response was very helpful for me. I have decided to disable the caching so that I can use your plugin.

    Basically, I am trying to redirect the user to two different sub-domains based on his / her location. So there must be two redirects –
    if the user is from India – redirect to a sub-domain-1
    if the user is from rest of the world other than India – redirect to sub-domain-2.

    Is this possible, and how do I achieve this?
