Multiple presentations of username

  • I have an unusual problem with WordPress and wondered if anyone else was having it. In the users administration area, when I click on a username (to edit (I’m logged in as Admin), it has an option on how there name is displayed, I noticed recently that the loginname of the user is repeated 2 or 3 times before any other names are presented, is this normal, how can I remove the repeated names in the Display name as option??

  • This seems to be normal behavior. The dropdown shows first the currently selected name, then the login name, then the “nicename”, then the first & last name (or something along those lines).

    Change the nicename and it will show up in the list.
