I’m on the latest version (both WordPress, 6.2.2, and the plugin) and I’m getting a lot of people on iOS complaining about multiple poll pages breaking on Safari – I see it too (latest iOS too).

is this a known issue w rendering multiple polls?

(I didn’t find anything after a few searches here – something from a couple of months back almost relevant that was said to be fixed w the update from that time)

    Dear @alanft,

    Thank you for the topic.

I want to mention, that we need more information for further investigation of this case.
So, please provide us with the following info:

    1. The link, where the given poll is located.
    2. The Poll version you are using.
    3. The PHP version you are using.
    4. Whether you passed the poll as a logged-in user or a guest.
    5. The screenshots/ a short video where the problem can be displayed.

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Thank you.

There are multiple polls on these pages on our site

Type of poll is “choosing” as you can see.

    PHP 8.1.17

I believe the issue appears regardless of logged in or not. The polls don’t require users to be logged in . (Yet!)

I will try to get screenshots from my phone and post later (doing it on desktop safari “emulating” iPhone doesn’t work.)

You can see the issue on latest iOS safari simply by scrolling down the page, or sometimes by scrolling back up. the browser will stop painting the page, even areas previously painted when you scroll back up

(Edit update: Image uploading is blocked here??)

    Dear @alanft,

Thank you for your reply and the info.

We have checked and noticed that you are using the W3 Total Cache plugin that enabled a Lazy Loading.

    See the screenshot below:

So, please make a?DB?backup?for your safety (you can use?UpdraftPlus) so as not to lose your data.
Then, ?clear?all?the?caches?and check whether the issue persists or not.?

Make sure the?cache?is?excluded?on the page where the?given poll?is located.?
After?clearing?the?caches, please try to check the case with either the?Incognito?mode?or?another browser/device.

    Thank you.

the line “Page Caching using disk: enhanced (Requested URI is rejected)” shows that the page is not cached. (Note that for logged in users we’re not caching any of these poll pages, but the issue still affects all users regardless of site login status)

some object caching is happening, and I can’t turn that off selectively (I believe), let me know if I’m mistaken there, or if that will make a difference.

Cleared the caches, but it’s still happening.

this is specifically iOS safari, so I won’t try on another browser/device, sorry, but I checked in “private mode” and the problem is there too.

Thanks for any help with this – we do like the plugin!
