I am looking for a WooCommerce plugin to allow customers to submit multiple payment types for a single order upon checkout. For example, many times someone pays at a store with two different credit cards or a credit and a debit card, etc. I can’t find anything that does this. The closest is the various “Deposits” plugins, but those don’t fit and most or all are associated with a product – not an order. The concept of “partial payments” would work – the customer would just have to submit payments one after another using the desired methods, but those plugins also seem to associate with products, not orders as well.

If anyone knows of an existing plugin or can give me a quote to develop a custom plugin for this purpose, I’d appreciate it.

Maybe one option might be to purchase a gift certificate with one of the credit cards. Then a customer would be able to use the purchased gift certificate coupon code as well as their other credit card. Not sure of those ways of being able to take split payments for one transaction.

Thanks for your reply, Luke. That’s an ok workaround, but since the customer is likely already at checkout with a cart full of goods, he/she would have to abandon them to go buy the gift cert and then start over or at a minimum, dump them in their wishlist. Just a little clunky, but could work. I would prefer to have a straightforward feature that just allows partial payments on an order total using different methods at checkout.

Is there a developer project forum for Woo where I could try and get a bid on creating this and other mods?

I know that Account Funds lets you use account funds plus another gateway to checkout. So it is possible to split the difference. But I don’t know of any plugins that let you do this between any two payment methods though.
