Hey, I have an issue with a customer having sent 3 orders, 1 which he has paid for and 2 with status “Payment Pending”. It seems the customer changed his mind after having clicked the button to pay. He didn’t change payment method.
I believe the order should be cancelled or deleted after a certain period of time, but it isn’t. I can only manually delete the orders. But this doesn’t make sense, if there are 100 customers changing their mind daily, I need to delete so many orders manually.

I don’t want the order to be cancelled completely if they change their mind. What is the correct way to set this up?

  • Hello @ann-sophie

please have a look here https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/managing-orders/ how WooCommerce handles the status.

If the customer changes his mind and for e.g. close the window WooCommerce doesn’t know if it was accidentally or by losing the internet connection. Normally a customer can pay his order later too so the status will be changed, In your case the status is correct because if WooCommerce cancels it and the customer wants to pay later he wouldn’t be able to do it.
