Multiple orders when customer changes their mind

Hey, I have an issue with a customer having sent 3 orders, 1 which he has paid for and 2 with status “Payment Pending”. It seems the customer changed his mind after having clicked the button to pay. He didn’t change payment method.
I believe the order should be cancelled or deleted after a certain period of time, but it isn’t. I can only manually delete the orders. But this doesn’t make sense, if there are 100 customers changing their mind daily, I need to delete so many orders manually.I don’t want the order to be cancelled completely if they change their mind. What is the correct way to set this up?
