• Resolved WPonemultipage

Have been looking around different forums, but could not find any discussion on this yet.

Want to create multiple one pages on my WP site. Ie the main-menu refers to the different one pages, whereas the sub menu items are put on the respective one page. I can now only find on how to either create a fully one page of multi page (all separate pages) or some hybrid form.

Any guidance or themes/templates that cover this would be really helpful.

    Example site-structure:

    Home
    – Photoslider
    – Intro
    – Portfolio
    – Team
    Products
    – product 1
    – product 2
    – Product …
    Projects
    – Project 1
    – project 2
    – project …
    Blog
    – Blogpost 1
    – Blogpost 2
    – …
    About
    – Contact
    – Our office
    – Testimonials

just create all of those pages and a menu with them all in in that order?

Thanks for responding and sorry for being too vague. What I mean is that I would want the following to be one page

    Products
    – product 1
    – product 2
    – Product …

And the projects on another one page
    Projects
    – Project 1
    – project 2
    – project …

I know I could build up the page this way and have the menu link to anchors, but that would mean if someone wanted to add a project or product. Someone else would have to include the anchor again. Prefer to have someone add a product or project page and add it themselves to the specific one pager or menu.

    Does this help?

You should be able to do what you want by creating two categories: ‘Products’ and ‘Projects’. Then use a Custom Menu to put the categories in your menu. Here is a video tutorial on the Custom Menu system: https://ericasays.com/2984/wordpress-3-custom-menu-tutorial/

yep, you’ve pretty much described exactly how categories and posts work!

Thanks for all the input. Worked indeed very well! (sorry took some time trying stuff out).

Another thing I learned was to put it all on one page and use Advanced TinyMCE anchors. This might give a bit more freedom on visual layout, though requires someone to adjust the menu. Not very complicated but could lead to errors.

Haven’t figured out my favourite, but since both work I now have options:)
