Multiple of same news item

What is the URL if the feed where you are getting multiple copies?

It mainly happens with the Google News feeds.
Like this one https://news.google.com/news?hl=en&ned=us&q=weeralarm&ie=UTF-8&output=rss

ok…are you seeing this in the feed items or/and with AutoPost (if you are using AutoPost?

Hi Allen, no, I’m not using AutoPost function.
Just with the (Google News) feeds.
The “real” rss-feeds give no problems.

try replacing this file with the one on the plugin (in the Inc folder)

Have replaced that file and will monitor for multiple copies.
Can tell you in half an hour or so.

Hi Allen, on the specific feed https://news.google.com/news?hl=en&ned=us&q=weeralarm&ie=UTF-8&output=rss it looks like it is doing allright.
But on other Google feeds there are still multiple items.
Does this make sense to you?

the plugin can only handle google feed items if they have the same format..if they are going to vary, then there is nothing the plugin can do…this is a problem with google feeds.

Hi Allen, I am computer challenged, but my brother usually helps me. A few weeks ago I started getting duplicate posts on my website using the old version. Yesterday I changed to version 3 and now have 3.01 installed. My website is harolddoan.com I post mostly press releases using the RRS feed An example of a feed I use https://news.gc.ca/web/fd-en.do?mthd=prdct&ft=atom&crtr.tp1D=1
This is the permalink for a United Nations story that appears twice in the feed index https://www.un.org/apps/news/story.asp?NewsID=48489 The date and time published is same for both

I do use the autopost function

Yes, I would like to try and fix the problem of duplicate posts

Any ideas what I could try.

Hi Allen,

Installed v3.01 and it looks like all of the problems are solved.
The items of one website in a feed still gave extra items.
I excluded that one , but included it again today and after several updates (every 15 minutes) no more double items.
