Multiple meta description tags

  • Hi generatepress,

    How can I remove multiple meta description tags from pages and post.
    If i view page source it showing 2 meta descriptions. Is there a way to override just one using in generatepress?

    How are you adding the ‘other’ Meta Description ? As GP won’t add two.

    Hi David,
    when I audit my website in Ahref It’s how my this error “Multiple meta description tags” these Multiple meta description are found in pages and posts then I disable SEO Plugin and other plugin, so It’s still showing check here (https://paste.pics/DGUVY) so I guess it’s the theme issue that why its showing double, meta description, so please help me on that issue.

    I checked several of your posts and there is only one <meta name="description"> tag on them.

    Is the issue because you have the same description across multiple posts ? If so i would check with your SEO plugin author, as you have an SEO Meta Description that should be updating that as well as generating JSON-LD.
