multiple marker categories and custom marker icons

Yes, this happens on purpose. In case a location has multiple categories which category icon should be shown? That is why it falls back to the default marker icon when the “multiple categories” feature is enabled.

I’d actually expect the icons to show “stacked” on each other somehow when multiple categories are selected?

@abyz12345 I get the idea but for now I don’t see a way to implement this in a scalable manner. Instead I will update the wording in the settings to explain this better with the next release.

stacked icons with primary marker category on top would be awesome. Thanks for your replies and I’ll use only single categories because custom icons are essentiell for my purposes.

I have the same expectation, bought the Pro version so the pins would show differently based on category. I don’t want more than one category per Pin (doesn’t make sense, I’d do two pins).

I have another mapping system that I have a Lifetime License for, and it works as I expected this to, you pick the Pin for the location – not as a category .. but it does not allow for front end entry – hence my getting yours.

For now at least. I might have to re-think using yours if this cannot be made to work.

@synergyhub You can do this with Open User Map Pro. Just make sure to have the Allow multiple selections under Settings > Filter to be disabled. Then each location will be represented by its category with the corresponding category icon.
