    Here’s my situation:

One domain, two separate WordPress installations:
    1) the main site: mydomain.com
    2) a second WordPress in a directory: mydomain.com/subdirectory

The second installation is an extension of the primary website and is used for a plugin that doesn’t run in the main WordPress. For the user, it is transparent. It is not a separate domain, redirect, or anything. All email that comes from or goes to both installations is ozarksauctions.com. I do not use WordPress mutlisite.

There are no transactional emails on the primary wordpress, just a contact form. There ARE transactional emails on the extended subdirectory wordpress.
I would like to have Mailpoet newsletter subscription on the primary install. On the secondary install, I would like to have newsletter subscription form available there too, as well as optional subscription with new user registration, and have the Mailpoet mail service sending all transactional emails.

One domain, one newsletter, one subscriber list…two wordpress installs.

In short, I have two wordpress installs on the same domain. For the user, it is transparent…all one website.

If I want to have a newsletter AND use the MailPoet sending service for both WordPress installations, do I need two separate MailPoet accounts? Or can I install the plugin in both and use the same key since they are the same domain?

Or…is there another way to accomplish what I’m trying to do that I’m missing?

    Thank you!
    Jerry

    Hi there @ozarksauctions,

    Thanks for the detailed explanation.

I’m afraid it’s not possible to use the same key on two different sites. Even if it’s the same domain, newsletter, and subscriber list.

Each key can only be used on one WordPress installation.

However, you can have multiple keys under the same account.

    I hope this helps!
