Multiple language translations on frontend?

Does anyone know of a good plugin that will automatically translate the frontend of the site (not the admin) to show in the language of the user’s preference? Ideally it would translate based on where they are accessing the site from, I suppose. I don’t mind using flags to allow people to choose a language, but I don’t want to limit the language options, if possible. My client does more than half of her business in Italy. I checked the language translations available and Italian is there, but I don’t want to translate the admin, just the frontend. And some of the plugins I came across force you to select a language for each post/page in the admin, so they don’t appear to be what we’re looking for.
