• 1. “Save Card Details” does not work. Doesn’t save anywhere.

    2. Customers are not receiving the “Order Complete” e-mail.

    3. This new password strength indicator is ridiculous and I would like to have the ability to turn it off. My password shows as strong on any other site but shows as weak on my site. It will not allow customers to create an account if their password is too weak, which only ends up turning away customers and causing my business to lose money. The strength indicator also does not give the customer ANY indication of HOW to make their password stronger like most sites usually do.

3 is being worked on, or you can disable it with https://nicolamustone.com/2016/01/27/remove-the-password-strength-meter-on-the-checkout-page/

    2. Will only trigger if the Payment Gateway updates your order to processing.

    1. Save card details is not part of WooCommerce – its again your gateway.

    3. When is a fix expected for this? The article you linked to says it was fixed in 2.5.1 but the issue is still present.

    2. I’m not quite understanding…when someone places an order it automatically updates to processing and the customer receives an e-mail stating that their order has been received and is processing. But when I finish the order and select complete on the order, it is supposed to send an e-mail to the customer stating that the order has been completed like it used to do.

    1. Ok so I would have to reach out to Stripe for WooCommerce for this?

2.5.1 doesn’t disable the button on checkout.
2.5.2 will have additional messaging and inline hints.

    2. Perhaps check its enabled here wp-admin/admin.php?page=wc-settings&tab=email&section=wc_email_customer_completed_order

    1. Yes; however, I think save card details saves to the STRIPE account. Not WooCommerce itself.

    3. Will 2.5.2 allow the ability to toggle the strength indicator on/off?

    2. Yes, I have checked and that e-mail setting is enabled.

    1. Ok. I have submitted a ticket with Stripe.

    3. No, use the snippet. But I’d strongly consider not doing that to keep user data safe!

    2. Also check spam.

    1. Ok. I have submitted a ticket with Stripe.

Submit to the author of the extension, not stripe directly. But as I said, save cards works for logged in users and saves to Stripe via their API. I believe its covered in the docs.

    3. So there will never be the option to turn this on/off or the option for users to still make an account regardless of a weak password? Because ideally I’d like to keep it but I wish it wasn’t so sensitive.

    2. I will verify this with my most recent customer as he appears to be the only one that has experienced this so far. If it is a spam issue, how can I get the e-mail to not go to their spam folder.

    1. I didn’t actually submit with Stripe I submitted a ticket with Stripe for WooCommerce which is for the author of the gateway extension plugin.

    3. No, but as I said, we’re adding a notice. There will be a hint below the field, and a message if your password is not strong enough. It accepts medium and strong passwords. Any weaker is not safe.

    3. Ok thanks. When should I expect an update for this fix?

We’re looking at pushing it out tomorrow.

Great! I was also wondering…instead of the only two options of having a customer checkout as a guest or having the customer manually create their own account…is there a way to have the system just automatically create a username and pass-code for them when checking out? They would then be able to just change their pass-code in their account afterwards. I just think this would be SO much easier for customers and would help a lot of companies with their online conversion rate.
