multiple instance of buttons on archive page

I’m using the blog archive shortcode in the Avada theme and despite having the buttons set to only show on pages and NOT show up on posts, categories/archives or excerpts (and having the [ssba_hide] code on the page hosting the archives) there is one instance of the buttons for each post title/excerpt on this page. There is also one instance for each post title/excerpt on regular blog archives.

I’ve hidden them all using css, but am curious if it’s an easy fix in the ssba php files to stop them showing up in post archives. For some reason the ssba functions see archives as regular pages. I suspect it’s another annoying trait of the bloated Avada theme but any suggestions nonetheless appreciated.
