multiple installation of wordpress-multisite-3.1.3, on my hostgator account

    My name is Chuck,

    Im new to WordPress Multisite

    and Im yet to explore all its features…that brings me to our discussion here.
    I have a specific issue regarding multiple installation of wordpress-multisite-3.1.3, on my hostgator account.

    What Im trying to do is this;

      All in all total I will have 1 main domain with 7 subdomains out of which;

    1. Main domain will host my main STATIC HTML/CSS site
    2. One Subdomain will have Mediawiki installed

      3. and,

    3. One Subdomain will have a PHPBB forum installed
    4. Rest all subdomains will have WordPress Multisite installed with Multisite feature enabled

      5. , so that,

    5. I can create multiple subdomains within each installation

      6. .

    I’m doing this for an educational institute and hence such a complexity

    Can anyone please guide me how to do this.
    I’m a newbie but have some general WP installation Ideas ??
    I already tried * redirection method on cpanel but I think my requiremtns demand something extra or different.

    Can’t.

    Using multisite, the main site MUST also be part of the network. it’s the first site in thenetwork, and yes… you can take your static info ou have, make a wp theme, and contol it from there.

    the rest you’ll be able to do just fine.

    Wiat, hold the phone on this one… you want SUB-subdomain sites from the subdomain sites?

    then if you want it all in one install (and not separate installs) then you need a multi network plugin.
