Multiple Follower Notifications

  • So, to start, m blog is on wordpress.com it is not an independently hosted WordPress install. Every time I want to add a translation of a blog page Jetpack treats it as a new blog post and will notify all of my followers, very few of whom may actually speak the language of the latest translation. The majority of my followers are English speakers, however, a lot of my readers are international. Is there any way to disable blog translations of old posts from being treated as new posts and notifying all my followers?

    To complicate things further, the page privacy settings cannot be modified to private temporarily to make the new post and then switched back to public (an old workaround) because of the wordpress.com restrictions. Any help is super appreciated. Thanks!
