The site I’m adminning has 2 Facebook accounts associated with it – one for the whole company, and one for a specific project the company does. Is there a relatively simple way to install a second copy of this plugin and use it for two facebook feeds (changing the shortcode etc)? I am not afraid of delving into the nitty gritty and messing with PHP, but I don’t know if this is a simple ‘find-replace these few things’ or a more indepth ‘change almost every function name’ issue.

  • Hey raefwolfe,

I’m not sure I fully understand what you are asking and my need a bit more clarification but it sounds like you want to know if you can run two feeds on a website and each of the feeds would display from a different Facebook account?

If so, then the answer is yes… this is possible and quite easily done through the use of shortcode and applies to the Free version as well as our paid version.

Lets’ say you wanted to have a feed that displayed posts from Nike and another feed that displayed posts from Toyota and a 3rd feed that displayed posts from NBC. Here is an example of how you would do that…

    [custom-facebook-feed id=nike]
    [custom-facebook-feed id=toyota]
    [custom-facebook-feed id=nbc]

The shortcodes can be on the same site page or scattered throughout different pages on your site. You do not need to install the plugin twice to do this. As a matter of fact if you tried to install the plugin twice on the same WordPress site you would get an error during the attempt.

Please follow this link for a list of other available shortcode options and the uses.

If I misinterpreted your question, I apologize and would ask if you could provide a bit more detail. I hope your evening is going great.

Oh that’s great! I didn’t see a way ‘built in’ to do it, so I thought I was going to have to go through the more complex process of installing a second copy of your plugin.

Your answers was exactly what I was looking for. Thanks so much for the speedy response!

    You’re welcome, happy to help!

No obligation at all, but if you like the plugin and support you received and feel like leaving a super-quick review here then we always appreciate it ??

Just let me know if you have any other questions in future, and have a good week!
