• Hi, I am having a problem with Google Search Console giving me error messages about product snippets on my site.

I have landing pages for all the products in a given category, and each product links to the individual product page. Google is telling me I am missing a name for these landing pages. The individual product pages have the name field, and they are indexed with no problem.

I also have a critical issue with “Missing Return Policy”, Aggregate Ratings, Price Valid Until, and several other issues.

I would like to explain to Google that the landing pages are not individual product; the scheme classifies them as webpages..

I would also like to know if there is a straightforward way of dealing with the reviews, return policy, ratings, et cetera without having to deal with each product separately. I have a return policy page, and I am not running sales, so I don’t know what to do at this point.

I am not particularly conversant with any actions that involve coding or inserting things into the page. I definitely prefer plugins that will do the job.

If I am not in the right place, I apologize and hope someone can help in plain English, not tech-ese.

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

  • First of all, you have a problem with the output of your page itself. PHP code appears above the header. You should check where it comes from and fix it.

Then your description of the Search Console messages is unfortunately quite imprecise. Which messages do you see specifically and under which point can they be seen? My current guess is that it has to do with the rich snippet award for the products. But they look correct in my test via https://search.google.com/test/rich-results.
