Multiple Duplicates

    Basically the problem is what it says in the title. Pretty much every time I check my images gallery the plugin has duplicated every single thumbnail that it has generated.

    I tried to do the tedious task of deleting every duplication then reinstalling the plugin but this didn’t help.

    I now have to disable then enable the plugin every single time i am finished with or need to use it. This is very tedious.

    Hey there! Sorry to here you’re having issues.

    If you run into a large amount of duplicates again you can go to the Video Thumbnails section in settings then click the Mass Actions tab. There you’ll find a button to clear video thumbnails, which deletes any attachments and custom fields created by the plugin.

    As for why this is happening, it’s possible your theme’s developer is modifying the functionality of Video Thumbnails in a way I’m not aware of. I see that you’re using the DeTube theme which is a premium theme I don’t have access to, so the only suggestion I can give you is to try switching to a different theme temporarily to see if you still experience the issue.

    I know DeTube’s creator was having issues with video thumbnails not saving when a post was published, so it’s possible he tried a fix which is causing duplicates.

    Hi there, thanks for the quick reply. I have done the mass actions tab before but this just deleted every image made by the plugin and left me with literally thousands of posts with no thumbnail which, is less desirable then the duplicate images TBH, the ‘scan posts’ option doesn’t seem to actually assign any thumbnails, just tell me that it could do if it wanted to lol

    Ideally the “Scan All Posts” function would be able to re-add all the thumbnails once you’ve cleared them, but as of right now it has performance issues on sites with thousands of posts. A solution for this is in the works!

    Have you tested it with a different theme to help narrow down the issue?

    O I see, thanks for the help mate! I have been trying to think of a way of testing it with another theme and not having to leave the other theme on my website for like a day or two… I assume it would be the theme as that would make sense. Thanks for your help again.
