Multiple Choice changing selected correct answer

  • Hi,

    For the first time I am setting up coursepress for a client and I have run into a strange issue that I can’t seem to get my head around.

    When I make a multiple choice question I write the question out and all the possible answers. Then I select the correct one and click save. When I go back to have a look to see all my settings have saved correctly I find that the ALL the checkboxes have been selected. This happens also when I answer the questions as a student.

    When I make a single choice question and select the correct answer, upon save the last answer in the list is selected.

    Am I doing something wrong in setting up the questions? I was using wordpress 4.4 and noticed that the plugin wasn’t tested on it so I downgraded it to 4.3.1 (the latest build it has been tested on) but still the same error.

    I need to get this site up and running in the next few days!

    Hey there jpmaidment,

    How are you doing today?

    I’ve been testing this on my sandbox site and I couldn’t recreate the issue using WP 4.4.

    Could you please try testing for conflicts to see if this caused by another plugin or your theme. To do that please try using default WordPress theme like Twenty Fifteen or CoursePress theme and deactivating all other plugins as displayed in the following flowchart to know which theme/plugin is conflicting if any.

    Thanks for your quick response at this time of the year! I hope you and your family had a safe and enjoyable Christmas!

    I found out what the issue was. Our client was creating the units with multiple choice questions, however, do not yet know what those questions will be so she put in some blank questions. Coursepress then saw that when one question was selected as correct (the answer was blank) it went through all the other answers and saw they equaled the same as the ‘correct’ one and selected them also.

    Once putting in unique answers it sorted itself out.

    Help I have been trying to save my multiple choice questions on coursepress and everytime I do save them, using both the save buttons on the ‘units’ page they then disappear.

    Please help me here.

    Please help me …. today I have spent hours inserting my multiple choice and I saved them, only to find out they have disappeared when I login again…
