Multiple categories in Featured Slider?

Hi,

I want to modify the code so that I can choose multiple categories to be shown in the Featured Slider. After looking into stylesheet, functions.php and theme-options.php, I still cannot find where to modify it.

What I mean by choose multiple categories is I want to add a code to the theme structure itself, not selecting via Theme Options.
