• Using the Event List, sometimes I need to use multiple categories, but this means that only one colour shows, which will be confusing to some viewing the page. I have tried grouping all the individual categories under the parent “Group” category, hoping that it would use the “Group” colour.
Is there anyway of doing this?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,

I’m really not clear what you are saying or trying to achieve.

Peharps you can expand further with examples, you can use screenshots here, but you need to link them from an image sharing service like BBimg

I think I have understood, if you have multiple categories then you can’t control which colour takes precedence.

Yes, that is unfortunate, but I can’t think of any solution in the current code base.

Sorry Alan for the delay in getting back to you and you do have the correct understanding. I was hoping that it would take the order of the categories, which it seems to be alphabetically, but I did download a plugin to change the order of them, with no joy.
Thanks for letting me know I wasn’t missing something simple

Arreane came up with a concept to show multiple colours

    see https://ibb.co/TqDXcFW

Is this the type of result you would like?

Obviously this would require development and that is unlikely to be scheduled for the free version in any meaningful timescale. Of course this is an open-source project, so who knows if someone else can help out with code.
