Multiple Bugs with Product Pages

    Since I’ve updated the plug-in I’m now having multiple issues with my individual products. The first is that when I make changes and click update the changes aren’t being saved even though the page tells me it was updated. The Revisions count doesn’t change and when I go to view page (not preview), it gives me a messaging saying that my changes won’t be saved if I leave. I thought that it might be a WordPress issue but it only happens with my product pages.

    The other issue I’m having, as someone else posted about, is that the text is now “invisible” in the editor and I can only see it when I highlight it. I’ve tried everything I can think of to fix these issues: changing themes (Diced and Astra), deactivating all plug-ins but Woocommerce, deleting and re-installing Woocommerce, even re-installing the latest WordPress with no luck. It only started happening in the last five hours or so and was fine before with both themes. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    What version of WooCommerce did you update from?

    You mentioned switching themes, can you try switching once more to WooCommerce’s default theme, Storefront and see if that fixes the invisible text?

    Can you please provide your site’s System Status Report so we can see more details about your configuration?

    You can get to your SSR by going to WP-admin > WooCommerce > Status > then looking for the Report. If you could copy and paste that here as a reply that’d be a huge help!

    Hi,
    I’m having the same issues.
    “Invisible” text, can’t do quick edit, remove product images, etc.
    I’m always getting a 500 error in the console…
    Javascrip not working admin products pages…

    I tried again and now on top of those two issues, my product image is no longer showing as well; neither on the front-end or back-end.

    I forgot to mention that I tried to update the product page in Storefront theme and that didn’t work either. It still wouldn’t let me update it or save any revisions. So that’s three different themes I have had this issue happen on.

    @claudiof if you could please start your own thread that’d be appreciated.

    So as far as this goes based on the symptoms you described, it appears to be a plugin and theme conflict.

    I see in your SSR you have 2 different page builders active simultaneously, we strongly recommend that you pick one, as having multiple plugins that provide the same or similar functionality (in this case page building) can cause trouble.

    As a next step to rule this out, Please try deactivating all plugins except for WooCommerce itself and seeing if you can get the product pages to work as expected.

    If you can, the issue is one or more of your plugins causing trouble. To isolate the culprit, you’ll want to turn them back on, one at a time, checking the product pages each time. When you start to have issues with the product pages again, you’ll know the most recently activated plugin is the culprit.

    I’ve deleted the other page builders, disabled all the plug-ins but WooCommerce and tested with the StoreFront theme as well and it’s still telling me if I leave that it won’t save my changes. I’ve noticed that it does save my changes though but gives me no revisions if I need to go back.

    We’ve identified a bug where WooCommerce is incorrectly popping that message up.

    You can see the bug report here.

    Once that’s corrected, you’ll see that issue close, and it should be in the next release of WooCommerce.
