    Hi, all –

I’m setting up a blog site that’s going to have four or five people blogging on it. The current software (Serendipity) keeps everybody separate. That is, it only lists each blogger’s own posts and those are the only ones he or she can edit.

Before I spend endless hours hunting around Google, I thought I’d ask here first. Is there a plugin that’ll do the same thing in WP?

    Thanks,
    Doc

  • You don’t need a plugin. Sounds to me all you have to do is set up each user with Author roles. Here’s where you can learn more about WP roles.

Yep, that’s the ticket. Since I’ve always been the sole author, I’ve never paid much attention to the ‘roles’ before, and while it flitted through my mind regarding this current site, I was thinking that ‘Author’ would limit everybody equally, but they’d still be able to see & edit others’ posts. A quick test, however, revealed what you said — they can only see their own posts, so that works out perfectly.

    Much thanks,
    Doc
