Multiple Bidirectional fields?

  • Hello there,

    I see ACF extended supports bidirectional fields. However these only work if you have the same field name across all field groups. What I find strange is that the bidirectional field supports multiple items, but doesn’t restrict the select to only one per field group. Shouldn’t it? Because it can be confusing knowing that fields must have a unique name within the field group.

    Or can taxonomies, post_objects and terms share the same field name?

    Hello,

    Bidirectional settings is a long-dated feature of ACF Extended. What is new is Self/Multi Bidirectional settings. Field names don’t need to be the same across all field groups.

    It is normal to be able to link a field to multiple fields in an another field group, as you can now setup complex scenarios.

    Please provide screenshots if you want to elaborate further.
