Multiple 404 errors

Installed plugin and my 404 error log went nuts the plugins use of the /search/ directory in the url conflicts with theme and other plugins. The plugin returned multiple incorrect urls in the widgets and at the end of a post the same url was linked to several keywords making site look like anchor spam. Tried to contact developer without success. Plugin is great in concept, hope bugs get worked out.
