    Hi,
I bought the Pro version, but found out ‘location’ and ‘address’ are t2 different things. I am using this for a doctor directory. Our doctors have multiple addresses, can I add more than one? For example; multi-address within one listing

    Thank you in advance.

  • Hey @dchen924,

We currently don’t have such options but we are really considering adding support for this in the near future as we understand that it’ll be really useful for our users.
For now, the location field can be set to Multi-select from Directory Listings > Directory Builder > Add Listing Form.

Let me know if there’s anything else I can help you with.

    Regards,
    Mahdi.

    1. Is there any way we can add code in each listing, so I can connect with another plugin?

    2. I like the Doctor layout, if I download the theme, does it mean all my current layouts (homepage and other pages) will be changed? Is there an instruction on how to create the same layout? (single page layout)

    3. Where can I resize the profile pic for the single page?

This is what I have after installing the theme (ddoctor)
    https://www.caipa.com/directory/18th-avenue-professional-dental-pc/

I want the same layout as this with 2 columns
    https://demo.directorist.com/theme/ddoctors/directory/joseph-miller/

    How to do so?

And how do I remove the rating bar underneath the business name?

    Thank you

    Hey @dchen924,

    1. What kind of code exactly? Kindly be more specific about what you are trying to do.
    2. Your current layout won’t be changed. Styling of certain elements will be changed but the layout will remain the same unless you change it. Single Listing Page will automatically become dDoctors layout.
    3. There’s no option for that at the moment.
    4. You don’t have the sidebar. Kindly add widgets on Appearance > Widgets > Directory Right Listing Sidebar.
    5. If you turn off Review from Directory Listings > Settings > Reviews, it should be gone.

    Regards,
    Mahdi.

When one listing has multiple categories, how should I layout them in Excel?

do I input one column like this: cat#1; cat#2; cat#3? (separate them with “;”)

    Hi @dchen924,

We actually haven’t brought support for multiple taxonomy import/export yet. Kindly get in touch with our technical support to get a resolution on this: https://directorist.com/contact.

Regarding the multiple address feature, that would be a really great addition to Diretorist. I’m working on a directory of nonprofits and it would be very helpful to have a way to list multiple addresses in one listing that would allow me to feature the address/map for each location. It would also be helpful if “related listings” could be in the same zip code or region, I’m not sure they are.

    Hi @kdcpelt,

Currently, related listings are based on either Tags, Categories or both. You can set the preference from Directory Builder > Single Page Layout > Othe Settings.

    Regards,
    Mahid.

seems as though it would make sense to include location in those settings…a listing that was related by category…but was located 100 miles away, may not be relevant…the only work around I can think of would be to have duplicate categories for every location which would be redundant and maybe confusing.

@kdcpelt I Totally agree! It doesn’t make sense to show multiple listings when I only search for 1 doctor. Also, it’s not that appealing either (same profile picture repeating on the same page).

My point was more geared toward having the related listings, but including those most relevant (by proximity) to the listing. A search result page can’t know if the user has found exactly what they want…so the related listings are still relevant if by category…but the issue to solve is how to cross reference the longitude and latitude to determine reasonable proximity, or by zip code…there must be a zip code proximity list/library that can be loaded. Anyone have an idea on how to do this?

Conversely, could the Directorist settings allow a link to display: “Show me related listings: by zip code (list), category (list), location (list)”???

“Show me related listings: by zip code (list), category (list), location (list)”

They do have this feature inside the single listing page on the left side panel as “similar listings” and you get to choose by zipcode, category or location.

I’m not seeing that…do you mean (from the dashboard): Directory listings > Directory Builder > Single Page Layout > Other Settings? If so, I only see “Similar listings logics
    Must match category and tag
    Must match category or tag”

If you mean Directory Builder > Settings > Listings > Single Listings…under Related Listings I only see “Category or Tag” and “Category and Tag” in the pull down.

No mention of locations or zipcode…

If you mean the filters, that isn’t what I’m talking about. I’m talking about the pre-populated listings that show up…where you can control the columns, etc.

Maybe the locations and zipcodes are made available with an extension?

What am I doing wrong? ??

You have to add it to the widget

Can someone from Directorist reply? I’m not seeing these settings in my configuration. Links and images to help me understand would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
