    Dear David,

    very satisfied with the plugin!
After activation following is the status:
    WP admin area –> English
    WooCommerce admin area –> German
    WooCommerce output, content –> German
WooCommerce output, page titles and menus –> English

Since I speak German it is easy for me to change the page titles and menus to German as well.

But I would still have following tow questions:
    1. Is it possible to change the WooCommerce admin area back to English, leaving only the WooCommerce output in German?
    2. Can you tell me how to best make a multilingual site (EN, DE, FR…) using your plugin? I know there are different ways to realize this, but taking your plug-in into account, which is the easiest way to do so?

I wish you a happy and successful year 2013!

    Ah, sorry for the delay!
Thanks for your best wishes! Also all the best for you, still, even the year is full going now ??

At the current state it is ABSOLUTELY DIFFICULT if even not possible to divide completely between backend and frontend strings. That is due to the fact how languages/translations are implemented as a whole thing in WP itself. I cannot do anything about this, either…

There’s only possible to have the admin in English with a few plugins out there. Or, you can remove any translation files from plugins, themes etc. — mostly same effect in the end, but problems when updates come… (will override anything).

With WooCommerce 2.0 there will be some kind of a change because lots of admin strings will be separated into woocommerce-admin.pot file. That’s good news but unfortunately, like with WP itself, some strings are shared global, that means they are in WooCommerce main lang file and will be used frontend and backend alike. Cannot be divided!

With my plugin it’s just not possible to have multilingual sites because it does nothing to the product admin, orders etc., taxes and so on. It just loads lang files like a “robot”.

I highly recommend using Multisite — that’s the fastest, and most future proof alternative for that purpose at the current time.

I also suggest we continue this in German language if you want and mail/phone about that as I could explain this then much better — my contact is: https://deckerweb.de/kontakt/ —> just if you want, ping me ??

Hope that helps for the moment. And sorry again for delay!
    –Dave ??
