    Hi,

I would like to know if in the form field it’s possible to add a check box or something where users can decide in which language they want to receive the email, so like that you will be able to send french email to everyone who subscribed for the french email or something like that.

Or maybe the same thing, but if someone register from the french page, he is in the french mailing list automatically…

    Is it possible?

Also, is it possible to only have the “email” field in the form instead of “name”, etc.?

    Thank you

    Thank you for your post.

Yes, you can create a custom field for the language and give it options such as “English” and “French” so that your subscribers can choose their language. At the time of sending, you’ll use segmenting to send to subscribers with that custom field value set to a specific value. That way you can send a newsletter to either English or French subscribers.

The alternative way of doing this is creating a mailing list for each language. With most multilingual plugins like qTranslate and WPML, you’ll have a post/page in each language so you’ll put the subscribe form for the specific mailing list in the post/page of each language. For the widgets, the Newsletter plugin gives you tabs for languages already.

Yes, the email address field is the only default field upon installation. Other fields like name, surname, etc. are added as custom fields.

Let me know if this helps and if you have any further questions.
